The Youngest Man on the Pitch in 1966
Alan Ball Signed Memorabilia, England and Everton
Ball was twenty one on the day of the final and outran everyone on the pitch in extra time. He died suddenly in 2007, which fixed supply earlier than for most of his team-mates and has pushed his signature above several bigger names from the same side. Look for the distinctive looping B and be cautious of late secretarial examples circulating from testimonial and fan mail periods.

Why has Alan Ball's signature risen faster than some team-mates?
He died in 2007, far earlier than most of the 1966 squad, so the supply of genuine examples stopped a generation before theirs did.
What should I watch for when buying a Ball autograph?
Secretarial examples from fan mail replies. Compare the pen pressure and the consistency of the loops against a known in-person exemplar.
Do your Ball pieces come framed?
Most do, framed to a presentation standard and ready to hang, with the certificate supplied separately for safekeeping.
