Ten Years Ahead of His Time
Martin Peters MBE Signed Shirts, Photos and Montages
Alf Ramsey called him ten years ahead of his time, and the goal he scored in the 1966 final is still the most under-celebrated of the day. Peters signed neatly and consistently, usually in the lower right of a photograph, which makes clean single-signature examples straightforward to display and easy to pair with Moore and Hurst in a West Ham trio. Most of what passes through us is montage material rather than solo pieces, and complete 1966 groups including his name have hardened in price since his death in 2019.

Is Martin Peters usually found on his own or in group pieces?
Far more often in group pieces. He appears constantly on 1966 squad montages and West Ham trios, so a solo framed photograph in good condition is the harder of the two to find.
What affects the value of a Peters signature?
Whether the image shows the 1966 final, whether the signature is on the image itself rather than a mount, and the condition of the ink, which on 1960s glossy photographs can silver over time.
How are your Peters pieces presented?
Predominantly professionally framed and ready to hang. Unframed examples can be supplied if you would rather use your own framer.
